From 1999 - up to date Datuna is a lawyer specialized in criminal law and has been practicing law.
From 2005 till 2013 he was a member of the Ethics Commission of the Georgian Bar Association.
From 2013 till 2021 he was a member of the Executive Board of the Georgian Bar Association.
